This page does not assume SAE 45 degree, JIC 37 degree or interchangeability between flare systems. Media compatibility, pressure and temperature limits, leak-test method and compliance status are assigned only after drawing and application review.
Details to include in your RFQ
Exact values are manufactured to the approved drawing. Include the following information where available.
01Flare standard and angle
State 45 degree, 37 degree or another drawing-defined system; each is reviewed as a separate requirement.
02Tube and flare size
Provide tube outside diameter, tube material, relevant wall thickness and male or female flare arrangement.
03Mating connection
Define each connection, including the complete thread callout, gender and sealing method.
04Critical geometry
Provide cone or seat dimensions, bore, overall length, hex, wrench clearance, tolerances and required surface finish.
05Application conditions
State the medium or refrigerant, operating pressure, test pressure, temperature range, vibration and mating component.
06Material and finish
Specify the brass grade, lead restrictions, plating or coating, cleanliness and compliance requirements.
07Inspection and testing
Define thread gauges, sealing-surface inspection, cleanliness controls and any required leak-test method and responsibility.
08Commercial scope
Include sample quantity, first-order quantity, estimated annual demand, packaging and labeling requirements.
